As far as Mother Nature is concerned, our off-season is just as nice as the regular season, and in some ways, it's even nicer. In the off-season we often cater to groups. We've had several specialty weddings here and we've hosted several Peterborough tournaments. We're a favourite destination for many sports teams because of our facilities, the activities available before and after games, and especially our proximity to the venues (most are less than 15 minutes away).

Explore the countryside on a bicycle.

Don't forget to bring your bike and explore the surrounding countryside. We're located in a unique drumlin landscape and there's lots of scenery to see! Or visit nearby Lang Pioneer Village, or Serpent Mounds Park, by bicycle.

We're in a great location for bird-watching and photography.

Rice Lake is a renowned area for birders. It's located on one of the major migratory bird routes. The many marsh areas provide shelter and food sources for the aquatic species, and pasture and wooded areas support vast number of song birds and raptors (many species of hawks, osprey, bald eagles and more). There are also several nature conservation areas nearby.
